A beautiful day, unsuspecting
While meandering along Lovers Close
An unexpected water drop
Did warmly caressed her cheek.
Wearily, she smeared – with the back of her hand
That disobedient droplet and left
A glistening trail in plain sight.
Glaring upwards. No clouds to see,
But thankfully no people either.
And then silently,
Like a stopper had been uncorked
That startling sun-shower coursed down her cheeks
And pooled on the ground like rain.
